This animated short investigates the cultural and technological emergence of broadband internet through the lens of late 90's computer aesthetics. By employing visual and auditory references characteristic of the emergence of networked culture into the main stream of North American society the work reflects on the formative period of the internet and its lasting influence on contemporary digital culture. The piece engages with questions of nostalgia, technological mediation, and the ways in which early internet infrastructures shaped both collective experience and individual perception.
